Our Story
About us
Iron Maple Farm is located on the beautiful south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. We are one hour from the provincial capital city, Halifax and thirty minutes from the picturesque coastline, including our favorite beaches: Crescent, Green Bay and Rissers. Nova Scotia, also referred to as Canada’s ocean playground, is world famous for it’s seafood, especially lobster, striking scenery and the world’s highest tides at the Bay of Fundy. We are very proud to call Nova Scotia our home!
Iron Maple Farm is owned by Angela Slauenwhite & Collin Veinot. We are situated in a small, rural community with our dogs, bengal cats, chickens, goats, sheep and horses . We both grew up surrounded by animals so it is no surprise to anyone who knows us that animals are such an important part of our lives today!
We brought home our first Nigerian Dwarf goats in 2021 and have been growing our herd ever since. Our Gotland sheep were added in 2023, along with two F1 Valais Blacknose lambs.

All of our goats and sheep came from health tested or healthy closed herds.

Registered Animals
All nigerian dwarf goats are registered with the Canadian Goat Society through the CLRC and our Gotland sheep are registered through the American Gotland Sheep Society.

We put a lot of research into each animal that we have added to our farm. Our goats come from lines known for their excellent udders and milk output and our sheep come from lines that are known for their excellent wool production.
